Linak handset

Repair

Linak handset

Patient handset and its cable

The hand control and, above all, its cable. On a handset that gets dropped and stepped on several times a day, the fault is almost always in the cable or in the keypad membrane, not in the bed. We replace the cable, recover the membrane and check it button by button.

We tell you whether it can be fixed, what it costs and how long it takes. If it cannot be fixed, we tell you that too.

Typical symptoms

  • A button does not respond, or has to be pressed hard.
  • It works depending on how the cable is positioned.
  • The connector is loose or works its way out.
  • Water or dirt gets in through the housing.

The repair includes

  • Bench diagnosis before anything is touched.
  • Replacement of the components that failed, not of the whole board.
  • Load testing for long enough that an intermittent fault shows up.
  • A report with the results of those tests.
  • Shipping both ways, at our expense.

Turnaround

Ten working days from the moment the unit reaches the bench.

Warranty

Six months. If the unit comes back with the same fault within that time, we look at it again at no charge.
